Here's Looking at You
Today in class we did a photoshoot where we had to do portraits based on what we look like waking up in the morning. I disheveled my hair and smudged my eyeliner, because I always forget to wash it off at night. But of course, Lauren had to upstage everyone because she's amazing and she looked absolutely magnificent. You see, she gets a lot of beauty sleep, thus expanding on more reasons why I'm so happy she's always DTM (Down to Model).

Fashion Week
There are so many opportunities in this city, I can't even grasp the fact that I'm here.
I keep getting a glance at the glamorous life, putting my little middle class one into perspective.
I went to observe the outside of a Marchesa Fashion Show at Grand Central Station, where my roommates and I were planning to try to get into. Yet way too many celebrities arrived so I guess it became a little more high profile than expected.
For the first time ever, I feel like a major paparazzi. Out comes Tyra Banks, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Michelle Trachtenberg, etc.
Then yet again, we ran into Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn!
Tyra Banks (she walked away so fast and she had to be escorted)

Fashion's Night Out
I sit here today still in disbelief that I've only been here for three weeks and I've already had so many experiences that I used to only dream of. I ventured out yesterday afternoon with my roommates and we made our way to Saks Fifth Avenue to meet Darren Cris. Sadly he was not there once we arrived but we noticed a long line forming towards the back of the store. That is when we met Oscar de la Renta! It's crazy seeing a man's designs all over the place and then seeing him and touching the hand that made them in person. It's honestly surreal.
Then we made our way towards Soho, where along the way we spotted some beautifully dressed males and females and God knows what else. It's so refreshing seeing people with good taste, unlike my hometown...
We stood in line at Piperlime but it was way too long so instead we redirected ourselves to DKNY a street over. We went inside, it wasn't too busy in there, not too large of a crowd. After idling a bit inside we were a bit disappointed because it didn't seem like anyone important was there.
Then out came Karlie Kloss, Derek Blasberg, Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne.
I died.
There was not a massive crowd in DKNY, so we literally hung out with them for like an hour or so taking pictures, watching them have conversations with other important people, taking pictures of this guy I met with them all.
It's only week 3, semester one, and I've still got so much more to go. And if this is what I can experience just now, I've got a good feeling about the future.
